Patricia & Gabe’s Intimate Anniversary Editorial
In the bustling city of Oakland, lies a modern Japanese restaurant called Shinmai. It is composed of gray and midnight blue walls, creating a clean and edgy ambiance; perfect for date nights and friend get-togethers. Patricia and Gabriel are sweet newlyweds, celebrating their one year anniversary. We were inspired to create an intimate and warm feel, to reflect their relationship as husband and wife.
Melanie of Hawthorn Flower Studio perfectly created this by using canary yellows and hints of pink in her floral design, which contrasted well with the cool toned interior design of the space. Cherry caramel phlox were thoughtfully incorporated to create a unique color and texture in the florals. The arrangements were carefully placed in hand-crafted ceramics by Piece of Clay.
The windows of the space were used as a backdrop to the main tablescape. Beautiful lighting was created by the use of the windows; this light illuminated the floral colors. White linen and neutral plate settings were used, so the focus would be on the floral centerpieces.
Patricia wore a modern yet feminine wedding dress by Loho Bride, and her hair was elegantly placed in a low bun by Aimee Artistry. Her graceful demeanor roots from her background in ballet. Patricia and Gabriel share an intimate marriage, and you can feel their love flow through the artistic photos captured by Nathalie Cheng Photography.
